Kim came from a dog pound in Wales at about 9 months old to a friend of Hilary's. She was very timid and scared of her own shadow but she still had a mind of her own. Poor Jan (the friend) did not know what she had taken on and did no end of damage until Delia told her to try giving the dog cardboard boxes to chew up.
Her Kennel Club name "Dragons Surprise" was based on the fact that it was a surprise when she started to race. (Where does the "Dragon" Part come in Hilary? - Ed) Now she is a total nutter and has to be watched if you line up in front of her as Dave Green once found out!
She stands behind Hilary in the car whilst she is driving and actually throws any tennis balls she can find at her.
